The video was disseminated from a Facebook page named "Surma Voice." Upon investigation, it was revealed that the name of the tortured young man is Nur Jamin (23), the son of the late Hanif Ali, hailing from Chikadhal village in the Companiganj Upazila. On Sunday morning, around 10:30 am, his body was recovered from a canal in the Narainpur area of Companiganj Upazila, situated near the Indian border.
